WELCOME

So now it’s down to business.

Perhaps I ought to be opening with a warm fuzzy message, welcoming you to our first newsletter. After all, you go the extra mile in engaging your customers in recycling your packaging by putting the OPRL labels where they make the biggest difference – where they can be seen as we reach for the bin!

Customers really do appreciate the extra effort and investment you are making. Over two thirds say they want to see more on-pack information on recycling. But it’s a grim picture elsewhere with Defra funding and staff slashed, and local authorities everywhere tightening their belts.

Now more than ever it’s down to business to engage consumers in recycling, so what you’re doing is very important.

And that’s been publicly recognised twice in the last few months. OPRL won Bronze in the Zero Waste Awards this spring, and Highly Commended in the National Recycling Awards in July. We celebrate our recycling heroes in our 100PerCenters section

We want this to be your newsletter, so tell us what you think about OPRL, recycling or packaging issues. Give us your views – good or bad – in 100 words for YourSpace

Best wishes,

Jane
