BREXIT – THREAT OR OPPORTUNITY?

Meeting just a few weeks after the EU vote, OPRL Board had to consider whether investing further in a labelling system born out of EU recycling targets was a wise move. Our decision? Leave or Remain, we’re here to stay! 

The battle for the hearts of UK consumers has already been won – most expect to be able to recycle packaging.  But there’s still much to do in securing the mindsets which deliver high levels of effective recycling.  And that’s our job.

And that contribution has been endorsed by WRAP, who say in their Consistency of Collections reportBrands and retailers not currently using the widely recognised On Pack Recycling Label labelling scheme are strongly encouraged to adopt this labelling on all packaging placed on the UK market.

So our investment plans continue, and the results will become increasingly obvious.

Our job is to make it easy for you to do the right thing in making it easy for your customers to do the right thing. Everything we’re building is aimed at that – and getting you the credit for what you do.
